Haldi Doodh Cake

Before it was called "golden milk", haldi doodh (literally meaning turmeric milk) was a simple drink enjoyed by kids and adults alike. In this cake version, a soft almond-saffron cake gets sandwiched between layers of cardamom-vanilla buttercream, kissed with a naturally yellow turmeric tint.
